For instance, you need to compute what percent of your diet should contain protein, carbohydrates and fats; all divided into 6 meals. It takes dedication to eating good food for building muscle and if you do not eat right you will not get the results you desire.

Not only will you not be building muscles if you do not eat enough carbohydrates, you can have physical symptoms such ad lack energy and difficulty concentrating. You probably would not be able to do your workout. Your body is essentially hypoglycemic and will turn to you muscle tissue for functioning and you can lose muscle.

Carbohydrates are an important part of your diet despite what you may have heard on the news. However, you should be sure that you are eating a good source of carbohydrates. The carbohydrates in your diet will help you have the energy that you will need to do a tough bodybuilding workout.

Some of the foods that you should be eating are vegetables and fruits. Fruits are a good source of energy and they will help you to get through a strenuous workout.

You will also need to make sure that you are including fat in your diet. Fats are good for building your muscles. A well balanced diet will contain twenty percent fat for good health. Some of the best sources of this fat are olive oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, and nuts. Your diet should be well balanced with sixty percent coming from carbohydrates, sixty percent from protein and twenty percent from fat.

You might think that this is too complicated, but once you get it down, you will be planning your meals in no time. Make sure that you are eating a good variety of foods and that you are drinking plenty of water with your meals.
