Ascot</div><div class='uawarticle'><br />If you are involved in a product or service business or professional practice, then locating new clients is probably a constant challenge. A lot of business owners tell me that they are frustrated by efforts to locate new clients because:<br />

- It is either too costly or too time-consuming to generate enough interest in their services to be worth the time and expense. <br />
<br />
- All the time they spend attempting to attract new clients also reduces the amount of output they can produce.<br />
<br />
- They often run into more resistance, the more they attempt to sell their product or service.<br />
<br />
Can you relate to any of these frustrating situations? I know I did before I worked out the way of attracting clients to me, rather than me having to go chase them down.<br />
<br />
A big part of the puzzle is getting the attention of people who are actively looking for, or have a predisposition for, the services you provide. If you can do that, most of the "grunt work" of prospecting is reduced or eliminated altogether.<br />
<br />
That's where the Internet comes in. The Internet now functions like a giant Yellow Pages for people who are considering a purchase or looking for information. <br />
<br />
All you need is a response-oriented website that is visible in search engines and you are well on your way to converting searchers into visitors and visitors into customers.<br />
<br />
But most businesses aren't taking advantage of this opportunity right now because:<br />
<br />
1. Their websites aren't visible for relevant search phrases in search engines<br />
<br />
2. Their website might be visible to the search engines, but the content on the website isn't compelling to visitors. Because of that, when visitors arrive, they're not motivated to take action or even inquire further about products and services offered. <br />
<br />
Lead generation efforts on the Internet can be many times more effective and profitable than offline marketing methods when your customer base is thinly dispersed across the geographical area that you service. Let me give you an example.<br />
<br />
We recently designed a website and online marketing campaign for a personal trainer. Using traditional marketing, it's expensive to reach the relatively small slice of the population who want and can afford a personal trainer. But on the Internet, prospects do the work for you. They're searching on targeted terms such as "personal trainer Brisbane" all the time. <br />
<br />
(The secret is to make sure that your website shows up for that search term and then convert that traffic into interested visitors open to buying from you. But we'll save that discussion for some other time.)<br />
<br />
Personal trainer went live with the website and within two week he received six qualified inquiries, all at a cost of only a few dollars each from the marketing budget. So let's say that half of those people become clients. In one year that will equate to around 75 new clients, which is more than enough for a personal trainer to have a thriving business.<br />
<br />
On top of this great result, the whole process is largely automated. Unlike traditional marketing methods, this is a set and forget program of seeking prospects that allows you to focus on doing the work for clients rather than on looking for the work.<br />

So if you're currently not utilising your website to it's full potential as a marketing tool, I urge you to consider it - it really works.</div><div class='uawresource'><div style='font-style:italic;' class='uawabout'><br />
