Any diet should recommend that you do not consume products merely because the label boasts low fat or fat free. There are some very minor calorie differences between many low fat products and their full fat counterparts. <br />

This is not to say that low fat or fat free products are all bad. Many diseases can be attributed to diets high in saturated and trans fat. Cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity and certain types of cancer are a few of the many problems associated with a diet that is too high in fat. What you have to remember is that you are still at risk for any of those diseases if you eat TOO much of anything. This is because when we eat too much, we gain weight. Plain and simple!<br />

Think about it this way. If you drink milk, purchase low fat or fat free milk. You are drinking it anyway, so make sure you do not add unnecessary fat to your diet. If however, you purchase fat free cookies so that you can eat cookies and still lose weight, DO NOT. The cookies are still loaded in calories and sugar and they do not belong on a weight loss plan. <br />
<br />
Another important thing to remember is that restricting too many calories (very low calorie diets) is a bad thing. Fat Loss 4 Idiots does offer rapid weight loss, but they do so by using their shifting calorie theory. This weight loss plan provides 4 meals per day for each of the 11 days and it is not a very low calorie diet.<br />
<br />
What about carbohydrates? Low-carb diets are not necessarily the answer to weight loss because they often put too much emphasis on avoiding carbohydrates and dieters tend to focus on avoiding bread while they go ahead and eat high fat meats. They also tend to avoid the good carbohydrates that actually help you lose weight such as whole grains, fruits and veggies.<br />

The bad types of carbohydrates ARE eliminated in Fat Loss 4 Idiots. Junky carbohydrates are overly processed, full of sugar and fat, AND they lack any sort of nutritional value. We simply cannot continue to eat cookies, chips and sugary cereals and expect to be thin. You can indulge now and again, but you should not make these things a part of your everyday food intake.<br />

One final note, there are many choices concerning weight loss programs. Many people ask me about Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers. Both programs offer healthy ways to lose weight, but so does Fat Loss 4 Idiots (and many other programs). What you have to decide is whether the program is affordable and whether it will help you become thin?<br />

When you make this important decision, keep in mind everything we just talked about as well as the will it work for me? factor. Is the diet something that you can afford? Is the diet simple?
