Where to Travel In Tanzania

by Jane Farasi

Looking where to travel in a land of contrast and diversity, excitement and adventure? Tanzania could be just the answer, and it will not disappoint you.

Access this country easily through a network of international flights from the UK, Europe, the Middle East or even many of the neighboring African countries.

Kilimanjaro

One of Tanzania's wonders, a chance to climb Kilimanjaro is one of the main reasons visitors come here. With its snow-capped peak, Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest mountain at 5985m, in sharp contrast to the bed of Lake Tanganyika or even the shores of the Indian Ocean at sea level.

Wildlife

The annual wildebeest migration sets off from the Serengeti Game reserve as it heads to the Maasai Mara in Kenya.

Game viewing will also be in Ngorongoro Reserve as you enjoy the scenery of the Ngorongoro Crater, the Tarangire National Park, and to the south the smaller and most unique Ruaha National Park and Selous Game Reserve.

The Islands and the Beaches

Zanzibar, Pemba and the archipelago have some of the world's most beautiful beaches and are an experience in water sports, and even swimming with the dolphins!

The Mafia Island Marine Park South of Zanzibar gives an unforgettable experience in scuba diving and snorkeling and is a haven of peace under the palm trees in the ocean breeze.

The coast is also very rich in culture and cultural blends. A visit to Zanzibar's Stone city with its unique architecture attests to this. It has a history of the slave trade and the spice trade that would make the visit well-worth it.

Thinking about where to travel in Tanzania? Well this country is precisely one of the good reasons why people come to Africa, the options are unlimited and the experience is truly memorable.
